Life is a journey full of ups and downs. Throughout that journey there are times when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, alone or lost. I offer collaborative counseling that can help you empower yourself to work through life's challenges. I work closely with my clients in a number of areas such as: depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, grief and loss issues, coping with life transitions and challenges such as illness or divorce; parenting, blending families and issues of step-parenting, improving self-esteem, relationships and satisfaction with one’s life.
My counseling approach is strength-based and client-centered, compassionate, warm, supportive and nonjudgmental. I engage my clients in an authentic, friendly and honest manner while honoring that each and every one of us has a unique story to share that includes past, present and future. Throughout the helping process we will work closely together to identify problems as well as solutions while drawing from Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused and Family Systems Theories to assist in the process.
Within the therapeutic relationship where rapport, safety and trust are the building blocks, we will explore coping strategies, process issues and problem-solve toward meeting your therapeutic goals and making lasting change.

“Telemental health” means, in short, “provision of mental health services with the provider and recipient of services being in separate locations, and the services being delivered over electronic media.” Services delivered via telemental health rely on a number of electronic, often Internet-based, technology tools. These tools can include videoconferencing software, email, text messaging, virtual environments, and FaceTime.
